Trashed rear seats
2 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
I have a 2 year old DS and have managed to trash the rear seats as the car has had 3 car seats fitted since I bought it. I really regret not protecting the seats (I have now) but what's done is done. I'm planning to sell the car and wondered if anyone can suggest a quick fix to the problem. Photos attached and help/advice much appreciated! Fergus |
Sorry, first post and I can't figure out how to rotate the photos.

Leather conditioner and time for the foam to rebound. Most likely you will see the spots where the leather was stressed permanently
|
Thanks! Can you recommend a brand of leather conditioner?

sonax has a leather conditioner and cleaning kit soft grey bristle brush also

No amount of leather conditioner, rejuvenator, etc... Will remove the dimples caused by car seats
Take it to a upholstery shop, they can heat up the leather and shrink the dimples. It is cheap and quick. I say this with confidence based on experience. |
Interesting project.
I would suggest you download the workshop manual. You didn't tell us what year but judging from the pictures it's in the 2010-2012 range. You can download the workshop manual for it from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0By...1RzTVZTRGYwSmc This website is centered in the UK and mostly has those from the EU on it. But there are some from the USA. I don't know if that manual is different for USA spec cars. Good luck! Larry. |
