Better mileage

i was thinking of adding some kind of intake, and ignition set up to my engine so i could get better gas mileage and power. anyone running anything they like? i was just thinking spark plugs, spark plug wires, cold intake, just the small stuff that can make a really good difference. well let me know if there's anything good out there.

thanks!

wont work, more power means less gas mileage.

things like oxygen sensor degradation and or resticted fuel flow and pcv leaks can cause the issue.

14 town, and 18 country.

A properly running land rover with premium fuel will cost the least in maintenance and work out for the best.

also check to see your tire pressures are correct. that can affect gas mileage as well.

cool i was. on my blazer i had intake, ignition, and exhaust and i got damn good mileage on that over stock almost plus 10 miles a gallon. well i'll let you know if i stumble on anything good i'll be experimenting.

Having owned 6 full body Blazers from 1969 to 1980, I have to say you are so far off. There is no way you can get a 10 MPG increase with a cold air and exhaust, may be 2 on a good day, out on the highway with a tail wind.

your not even talking about the same years as me. i'm talking about a 97 blazer. while your talking about old school.

Still, there is no way to pull a 10 MPG increase in any year model.
What are you supposedly getting for in-town and highway mileage??????

No way in hell I'd believe a 10mpg increase with those mods.
