Considering my first Land Rover

good day all,
I have been a member for a while now as I have been wanting a land rover for sometime but, it was never in the cards. However, I did recently come across an inexpensive way to get into a Lnad Rover.

I came across the following add;
" 2002 Land Rover Freelander, 220 kms, has been sitting for a while so suspect it will need brake work as well as; power steering hose, sway bar links, and two steady bearings so 4x4 works properly"
they are asking $900 CAD but I think I will be able to get it down.
just wondering what you guys think, what am I getting myself into, what type of job the steady bearings are, parts......?

I would appreciate any feedback.

best,

WW
