Pollen Filter on 1998 Freelander????

Anyone knows how to change the pollen filter on the 1998 Freelander? Bought a new filter because the old one started to smell really bad, but now i don't know how to replace it.. Used the search facility, but I couldn't find it..

In the US, there was no '98 Freelander, but if it's the same as a '02, it goes up, vertically, into the cooling unit above the passengers footwell. Ours are held in place by 4 screws, and a tight fit to get in/out if you leave the floormats in place.
Not sure any of that will help you though.
