Default 40th Anniversary? ??

I have a 88 RRC and was wondering if there was some way to tell if I had a 40thgood anniversary edition? And if so is there really anything special about them?

Here's a copy of the original brochure that describes, in detail, the differences that set the 40th Anniversary Edition apart from the regular Range Rover in 1988.

Well mine was originally cypress green then painted black. But everything on the list is there minus the decals. However right below the rubber trim on the front quarter panels there is the oval shape that looks like a sticker that was painted over. And so if it is really a 40th anniversary. And 250 were made id say one in North America is pretty rare and would be worth restoring completely?

That was 250 for the US, not worldwide. The best way to tell, from the trucks I've seen is in the type of wood on the doors. The '87 and '88 had large wood cappings on the doors that were different than those found on later Classics. Not only was the shape of the wood different but the look was dramatically different. The quality of the wood on the 40th Anniversary models was more like what was on the later Classics. It was a high gloss burled walnut of the quality you would see on the dash of later County models. The standard walnut wood capping for '87-'88 was far more plain. The difference was unmistakable.
