Almost Car Jacked Last Night!
I live just outside of NYC and was driving my Range through Times Square last night when a guy wearing all black and a piece of cloth covering his face ran up to my car at a red light, tried to open the door (which was of course locked) and starting banging on the window.
I was first at the light and my first instinct was to hit the gas instead of my 40 cal that I always carry(flight instead of fight on this one). FortunatelyI managed to escapebut it wasquite a rush. My heart was definitely racing.
NYC is always a good place to experience new thingsandthis one was a first. I love living there but this was crazy.

Definetly happy that you are okay and that you made it out in one piece. I used to live outside NYC in Westchester and I know it has its rough spots, but I would NEVER have guessed that you could get carjacked in the middle of TS. You figure no matter the hour it is crowded, but it makes perfect sense. If you were unsuspecting, he would have just slipped away before anyone realized what happened, if at all.

First off Luxury1 thankfully you are ok. Second, I have wondered about this since owning my rover. I am much more aware of where I am. I live in southern jersey on the coast and own weapons but do not carry them in the truck. I always have a knife not that it would help much in this instance, but I will always lock my doors after reading your post since my 7 month old daughter is usually with me. SCARY!!!!
