Another EAS question

I have to leave on trip saturday. EAS fault just came up on 2000 RR w/ 30,000. miles. vehicle dropped all the way down (front and back). Parked it and restarted today to find the back is up high and front is low. All red lights are lit and EAS fault w/ don't drive above 35 MPH. I am not sure if the front or back has a problem because I don't know where either should sit. My mechanic is gone for a week, so any help would be appreciated.

First, do NOT drive it as you will strain the compressor and could blow the compressor.

Have you replaced the airbags? If not, chances are the airbags may be shot due to age. Since you say the front was low and the back still up, I would crawl under the front and visually inspect the airbags. Look for any large cracks and fractures in the rubber bladders.

Check that first and get back to us.

It's a 2000 with only 30k miles?

possibly front airbag

quick question. When you do try to drive it do you feel alot of bouncing now (like a pogo stick)don't drive far but just a little..One time when I jacked up my truck although I had the tailgate opened I release the pressure from an air bag which deflated it....the truck then would not balance out because the one airbag wasn't lined up correctly....To fix it I jacked the car back up this time the correct way by the frame, I had to remove the tire well to inspect the airbag...I then lined it back up and lowered the truck...all is good now.

I'm not sure about your situation though, may be similar...

Also not sure if what I done was the best solution or just a temporary fix....Arnott has fairly priced replacement airbags if you want to replace them..
