Any idea what could cause this EAS/Climate control issue??

Every so often, my climate control will just shut off... screen and everything... just blank... fan shuts off etc. With this, the EAS lights will shut off also... It seems to happen around the same time the ACC fan cuts on... but that could be coincidence... Please? Anyone?

Loose wire? Try pulling the radio out and jiggling the wires back there to see if you can get it to flicker on and off. Also could be a loose connector. The best way to find problems like this is to move things around to get problem to occur.

Another oddity... it only seems to occur when the truck is good and hot.

Then narrow your search to the under hood area. It could be as simple as a bad relay or a fuse, or a bad connection. It could also be the under-hood fuse/relay center. Those have been known to fail.

Pulled the fuse today, just to have a look... looked pretty ate up... changed it. Maybe thatll solve the issue. I always thought though.. either a fuse worked... or it didnt.

My $.02 with the British the best way to handle an electrical problem is to once a year pull ALL the fuses and relays, spray contact cleaner in the block and on the relay pins and fuses. Allow to dry then put it back together.
NEXT find the ground points that connect to metal, break them loose, POLISH the steel and the connector and put back together.
I do the above with all my cars that are British and it does help a LOT.

Excellent advice George! I plan to do the same, as my problem has reemerged. Although problematic, I really do enjoy this truck...
