cruise control problems

I am having problems with my cruise control. The master switch turns on but the steering wheel controls have no effect. Any ideas??

Check the Vacuum hoses at the left rear of the engine compartment. Prone to splitting.

The hoses look good. Not brittle and all of them have flex in them.

OK, NAS Range, P38A

The vacuum pump is located at the lr of the engine compartment. Depress the throttle actuator whilst clamping off the line to the pump. Does it hold vacuum ?

You can spray carb cleaner around vac hoses and it the engine changes idle you have a bad hose.
