You all won't believe this!
My 95 RRC LWB has a power steering leak!
Previous owner was pretty sure it was a hose, but cleaning everything off then turning the wheel, I found fresh "blood" by the steering input shaft on the PS box. On rangerovers.net I've read about the Lucas stop leak, so I thought I'd try it (since even a rebuild is realistically 3-4 months out for both time and money reasons). Anyone have experience with it.
I drained the reservoir, which yielded about 12 oz of fluid, then replaced with probably half and half of the Lucas stop leak and new fluid. The leak has slowed, and things don't smell like hot dextron any longer, but there still isn't much assist when I'm not rolling.
no squeals, no noise.
Any thoughts?
thanks.

Lucas for over a year now and the steering is much smoother than when I bought it
The classic is known for its PS leaks. I would consider the system mediocre at best. Idk why they chose a crap PS setup, they just did . Most classics I drive tend to need a good crank to get the things to turn. As long as its not spraying out, just let it mark its territory.
