Meter is really simple, like high school physics. Put meter scale on "ohms" - may look like an upside down horseshoe (Omega). Touch probes together. That is the reading you get when "closed" or "shorted". Take probes apart - that is the reading you get for infinity or "open". BTW - a great number of electrical engineers don't know how to use one of these either, or have forgotten... The key switch will make the particular wires appear to have a short when turned to the position, and return to the opposite when released.

Nothing on the drivers door is working at all.
 

Is there any way to test the out station ?

No power to drivers door.
 

Found wiring plug large one under drivers seat, the lowest one was unplugged reconnected it and still nothing on the drivers door will work. What do you think it cold be. We also checked the door latch with the ohms meeter. Should the green wire and red wire be opened or closed.

A green and red wire is on pin 1 of the connector. A blue and red wire is on pin 2 of the same connector. A pink and white wire are on pin 4 of the same connector. Reading from pin 1 to pin 2 or pin 4 should be open. When key is turned, they all connect to the same ground, so then they would read shorted to each other or to the common ground, a black wire on pin 2 of another connector that leaves the latch and goes back to the out station (on another connector, it will be pin 11). The common ground is controlled by the out station itself. With all this poking around, will want to recheck fuse 22 and 30, which run that module.

Problem resolved!!!

The tube of wires going from the door to under the dash had a loose connection due to a white plastic thingy that connected them. He pulled it out, cut off the wires on both sides of the plastic thing, spliced them back together and put them back in the tubing and viola!

We are going to sell it. It's just too stressful to be so far from anybody that can work on it. It's been great, and looks incredible, so I hope somebody gets it who loves this brand and enjoys working on it.
