Hello Range Rover owners,
I"m thinking of possibly upgrading to a 2005 Range Rover HSE Westminster Edition. I haven't gone through your forum to sift through the 2005 issues yet but I had hopes that some current range owners would provide some information about that modle year.
In specific I'm looking for information and personal opinion about the 2005 and if there are any major modle defects. In the Discovery world the 2003's had faulty oil pumps, so on and so forth.
If anyone can offer some hope, help or feed back either positive or negative that would be greatly appreciated.
Before everyone asks I have not gone to look at the vehicle yet nor do I know if it has a service record.
Thanks for your time and effort.

CPO is Certified Pre Owned. Another question, how many miles?
From what I know (which is limited) I think that 2005+ are good. They had some time to get some of the bugs out of the redesigned car so that is good. With that said, the newer the better when it comes to issues and even some brand new ones can have issues.
If I were buying a 2005 I would insist that it was CPO otherwise I wouldn't touch it especially if you don't know the history. If you are you have to have it thoroughly inspected by a mechanic. I don't know of any broad sweeping problems though.
I don't know what your budget is but you should take a look at the CPO inventory on the Land Rover site.
