Default interior quality?

hi all,

i've been looking at used range rovers over the past week or so around the 04 mark and they ALL have the same issue of the armrest on the door being messed up and the silver paint on the center being scuffed up.

I otherwise LOVE the interior but wtf is this about? Is there a permanent fix for these things? I just don't get how the car could be so nice and luxurious otherwise but have cheap paint chipping off.

The plastics i figured id just prime very well and repaint but the armrest?

any other issues like this?

thanks all

Welcome, the Leather in the Rovers was Connolly Hydes for years and years and will last almost forever with some care using the correct products. As far as the plastic that is another problem as far as chipping and flaking. Pictures would help so that we can see what you see.
The finish on the leather is not a PAINT as much as it is a penetrating dye to bond to the leather. This can be restored or refinished as you desire with products.
Hope this answers a question or two.

The center section that is scuffed up is relatively cheap when you compare to the price of the truck. Best to my memory they are less than $70 new
