keyless entry not working 04rr hse
 

Remote light flashes, but does not unlock the rover. You can lock and unlock it by key, but when unlocking, it does not disarm the alarm...

What can I do here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

get in the car, close all the doors, and do this all within ten seconds... insert the key, turn it on and then off quickly... then press down and hold the lock button and then press the unlock button 3 times in a row... then release the lock button... if it works the locks will cycle... if it doesnt work, try it a few more times, its touchy sometimes... and wait a second now that i dont have a key infront of me, it might be hold unlock and press lock... the red light on the key will flash for 20 seconds if its done right with the key, even if the car doesnt take it

one more question... shouldn't you be able to unlock it manual with the key, and disarm the alarm? When I unlock it manual and open the door, the alarm goes nuts.

yeah, you should, didnt rad that in your first post. since you can open the door, im taking it that it does unlock, just doesnt disarm the alarm? with this you might be looking at a bigger problem... id say most likey a bcu, might be a trip to the dealer... how long as it been messed up, and was it fine before hand?

That fix worked like a charm...

Although my front passenger door lock, it doesn't always work... Most of the time it does nothing, sometimes it'll work... Any tricks to know about that?

most likely a new latch, but there was a problem with them binding up on the door panel, try pulling the panel off and see if it works all the time then, if so, you just need to move some of the foam, youll see it, so that the lock rod angle is changed and itll be all better
