lock problems
 

I have a 1997 RR and located in Melbourne Australia and having problems with the locking system. It seems to lock and unlock itself while I'm driving or when the car is parked and turned off. The remotes dont work so I use the key entry. Not sure if that is part of the problem and need to get them repaired and then reset.
Today it got worse and would only unlock the drivers side door by key entry and when I opened the door the alarm would go off. Had a hell of a time trying to get it started. Does anyone have any similar experience. ??
Also I'm looking for a good and reasonably priced mechanic in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

I think that might have something to do with interference, or the fact your remotes don't work. Here is some info on the alarm system in the p38 an how it works: http://rangerovers.net/repairdetails/becm/alarm.html
