Looking at 95 RRC, what to look for.

Hi all,

Looking at purchasing 95 RRC. I am not new to Rovers and their "quirks", (I have a 2000 Discovery that I love!) but am Range Rover stupid.

What should I look for? What common problems? The ad says there is a significant power steering leak, any common issues?

Any and all help with be greatly appreciated.

You can see the ad here:

Thanks, in advance, for your help!

thats not a bad looking truck, a bit over priced from what i can see.
Needs exterior rust and paint work, also new the seats recover front and rear.
It has the nice wheels (trw ??) though not correct for a county edition.
it looks like someone pulled the air ride and replace the bags with springs, unfortunatley most are going to be like.
The brush guard has been pulled from the front along with the lens guards on the rear.
You have to give the dealer a little credit though a lot of that stuff could have been hidden if the pictures were taken from different angles, so he not openly hiding anything.

Its not bad, but its pretty pricey considering the condition. I have seen 95 RRCs go for a lot if they are in mint condition, but this one is not. However, if you bring cash and point out the flaws, you could probably knock the price down quite a bit. If, though you need financing they won't be as negotiable on the price.

Actually, those are the correct rims for 1995 RRCs. They put special ones on them because it was the last year they made the model, they also updated in the interior too. This one doesn't appear to have been equipped with air suspension, the controls in the cabin are not present and neither is the EAS unit under the hood. They didn't use air suspension on all RRCs, and it was mostly used on the LWB to compensate for the extra length.

I was fishing around youtube and found this neat little video:

Good luck on your purchase!
