Q About Replacing Shocks & Brake Light When Pressing Brake

For my second Range Rover I just brought home a 1996 4.0SE (my first was a 1997 4.6HSE Kensington). While the EAS works well on this Rangie, the ride home was a bit unnerving. I noticed that the front right side dips on bumps more than the rest of the truck. My first thought was that it's time to replace the shocks. Does this sound right?

Also, the BRAKE light, ABS light & TC lights come on briefly when I press the brake pedal. The brakes work find & the brake fluid it a little beyond the MAX mark. What could this be?

Just went out & tested the brakes. I can hear the pump for like 2 seconds whenever I depress the brake pedal. Please advise.

The ABS warning lights are an indication that there is a problem developing and you should get it into a shop to have the codes read. As for the suspension, no it is not your shocks, although they are probably warn out if they have never been replaced, this problem also needs to be checked with a good scanner to determine what id going on with the suspension.

What makes you think it's not the shocks? What else could it be & how can scanning it determine the cause? Thanks!
