RE: Random Beeping Sounds
I get all of the above in the 4.4's also - I moved the speed setting up to 85 mph (but still get it too often traveling the parkway), the cold weather goes off at 39 degrees for me, I get a constant "check coolant level" indicator and beep in both 06 and 08 (which never replicates
itself at the dealership) and I get that strange one Luxruy mentioned too....what the hell is an "ebox fan"?

... the Environmental (E) box, in the front left corner of the engine compartment. The E-box provides a protective environment for the ECM and is cooled by an electric fan. The main relay for the ECM is also located in the E-box...

I get another strange one every now and then - a long, solid (maybe 15-20 seconds) that then quitely fades out - it has occurred only in
two instances when going back into F gear from having backed up, or when turning the car off right after preceeding front or rear bumper sensors have gone off. It makes an entirely different "pitch," no idea what it is. Again, dealers had no clue either.

The bearing of the Ebox fan is what's making this buzz. You can open up the EBox and see for yourself. The little fan is located inside on the bottom of the Ebox (black box on the passenger side in your engine compartment). It's a DIY and shouldn't take too long to change.

I went to radio shack for the replacement electric motor. Now the fan makes an incredible humming noise and the wooshing air from under the glove box. I am ready to get a new motor, being careful tofind one thats a few hundred rpm less, after all it was only 5 bucks and twenty minutes.
