RR HSE vs SC MPG
 

I couldn't find the EPA MPG estimates on the Land Rover web-site but I did find them on another site and saw that the ratings for both were the same (12/18). This surprised me since there is an HP difference. With that said, the HSE is a 4.4 and the SC is a 4.2 liter engine. Is this correct?

Luxury, I've seen this before from somewhere as well. Both the HSE and the SC have the same Miles per Gallon. Of course, it may vary depending on driving habits.

That is so strange to me but I guess the SC is a more efficient engine.

Actually supercharged vehicles are VERY efficient even though the same engine with a supercharger can produce more hp, it is still the same engine. More fuel is pumped into a supercharged engine because of the extra air entering the cylinders and will in turn produce much more horse power. But, if you accelerate like you would normally both, engines will get the same fuel economy (supposedly) I have found suprisingly that supercharged engines seem to get better fuel economy "my personal experience" I have a jaguar xjr that gets 22mpg mostly city on average which is incredible for a 400hp V8. When driving the same jagaur but one that was not supercharged I found that for what ever reason, I was getting worse fuel economy (It could be the way I was driving it) but, I have always been in favor of supercharged vehicles. You get more torque, hp, and are able to achieve greater acceleration at lower rpms which will prolong engine life.
