2.0 Liter Defender 90 engine serial number
I have a ROW spec 1997 Defender 90. I would like to find the engine serial number, but so far have been unsuccessful. I even had two mechanic friends help with the scope camera with no success. The only thing I could find on the block is what I believe to be the engine code, which is 25L6. It does not appear to be in locations listed for V-8 or diesel versions. Any tips on where to look would be much appreciated. I found a diagram on-line for where to locate the engine number on a 4 cylinder engine that is pre-TDI, but nothing for post TDI. I think it may be the same engine as the one offered briefly in the Discovery I known as the 2.0L MPI.
