Three Amigos is one of the more oft-discussed issues on this forum and others. Have you seen this write-up yet? ABS Mod - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I.

It's become the Rosetta Stone of fixing the Three Amigos around here.

My Amigos were caused by the cold solder issue and bypassing the SVS circuit board (see Option B in that write-up) took care of it.

Good luck.

If you are even going to attempt to mess with ABS faults on a 99-04 LR Discovery you MUST have a scantool capable of reading LR fault codes specifically ABS fault codes. iCarsoft LRII is a great unit for example. Then you can get the proper ABS codes and faults. Without it you're just tossing parts at it and wasting time & $$$$.

Do a search for "Option B Mod". It will cure about 90% of the 99-04 LR Discovery ABS faults. Then you have the sensors themselves or the Shuttle Valve switches (I'd replace during Option B Mod).

An even cheaper option with ABS that covers tons of other makes, too: http://a.co/gbNHVtd

Someone on this forum (I think) saw this unit hit Amazon for pretty cheap back when I was digging into my Amigos issue and I jumped on it.

I use it on my wife's Mini and friends and family also borrow it from me from time to time. Really versatile.

Cheers.

Yeah that one works good from what I hear. I paid 100.00 for my iCarsoft LRII and since I also own an 06 LR3 the iCarsoft LRII has been extremely handy for the maintenance reset.
