check engine/service engine
i am bringing the 95 disco my dad gave me back to life and it has the check engine light on, as well as the service engine light. i was wondering if anyone knew what triggers the check engine light in a disco and if it is something i could take care of myself, if it's nothing major. there is also the service engine light on which according to the manual has to do with emissions. is there any way to check that? the car sat for 2 years on a good amount of gas then when we got it started it had almost none could the evaporation of the fuel a set of a sensor? its a 95' so it doesn't have the OBD.
- thank you |
RE: check engine/service engine
Anything could've set it off. Being a 95 model
means it has OBDI not OBDII Just a different tool required to read the codes. Also I've read about a box under the passenger seat that has a readout for fault codes. Search on the forum here about that box. Either way you have to get that info from the computer no way to guess at it. |
