Daytime running lights
Hi gang,
I'm just getting my '05 LR3 SE up and running in Canada here and I was just quoted $450 to get my DRL's up and running. Do you guys think this is a reasonable price ? Any way I could do this myself ? Are their manual's for the LR3 that one can buy that has this type of info ? Thanks !! |
RE: Daytime running lights
I believe a dealer can plug into your ECU and turn on the day time running lights, I know thay can turn them on and off on the D2's and older vehicle, no reason they can't on yours.

RE: Daytime running lights
So are they just plugging my truck into the ECU and flicking a switch and charging me $450 ? If not me, is there any danger in getting just a regular mechanic to do this ? (sorry if thats a dumb question)

RE: Daytime running lights
It takes either a dealers Test Book or a after market scanner like a Auto logic to access your ECU. As I mentioned before, that is what is necessary on most Rovers, I am thinking it will be the same with you.
I would call the dealers service manager and ask him specifically what must be done. |
