Default Disco 1 stereo

I finally got the stereo code to work on my 1999 Disco 1. I was at the radio and I put a cassette in and now it bounces back and forth between cassette 1 and 2. It won't stop and I can't get back to the radio. Any ideas?

What cassette did you put in? Was it 80's or 90's mucic? The D1's are very picky about genre and year. If you can find some Cash or Hank it should work just fine.

The cassette was original to the disco. I had yo get the 5-digit code via the vin number. The stereo is an AMR2772 KEX-910ZRV.

If I recall correctly I had some success by pushing the 'eject' button and guiding the cassette out with my fingers simultaneously.

Of course you should never again put a cassette in the cassette player.

call the dealer or land rover North America with either the vin or the serial # on the sticker that is on the back of the radio. If you dont have either of those the code has to be read from one of the chips. Ive built equipment to do that as unintrusively as possible, but there are 20 year old screws that have to be removed that are often siezed so the time can be a couple hours if things get ugly. PM me if you think you need to do this to recover the code
