Do I need mud tires on a dry day?
Hey yall, I'm planning on going to SAE in the am, but I'm stuck with a dilemma. I lost my lug wrench and I can’t find a socket that will match it. I took her to a local tire shop for 1 new mud tire and mounting. Unfortunately he did not have the proper socket either. I'm thinking about packing my mud’s and going to SAE, but than started to question why do I need mud’s when it hasn’t rained in a week and a half? Is it worth trying to lug these tires all the way up and back or should I just stick to my street tires?
Thanks Collin |
muds
I would take the muds because they will do good in both wet and dry conditions, but streets are only good for dry! there is always a chance of rain!

Any local auto parts shop should have a 1-1/16" socket.

You are young, the exercise will do you good! Load up the tires!

1 1/16 or 27mm, assuming your chrome caps aren't trashed.
Buy a socket and change them before you go. |
