help with (tc), (ABS) and hill descent lights

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone could assist me in gettin these lights to turn off. The problem started yesterday after driving down a really muddy road pulling some atv's. the TC light was flashing everytime the wheels would begin to slip (i figured that was normal) but right near the end the hill descent light and abs lights came on. my friend told me it was due to dirt getting into the wheels and around the brakes and i would just need to clean them real good. is this true? and if so what is the best way to go about doing so. thanks guys im a neewbie here and have owned my disco II for about a week now. so im kinda poking around in the dark when it comes to suv's.

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, the most likely situation is that the sensor has become clogged with mud, though it may need resetting, if the mud pushed the sensor out of alignment.

I have had the same problem after offroading. Check to see that the ABS sensor is pushed down all the way in the mount. They have a tendency to work themselves loose.
