Instrument Panel Illumination 03 SE7

Daytime driving .... no lights on. CD/radio and AC controls lights are brilliant 100% illumination, speedo, tach, temp and gas and trip led have no illumination. Turn switch on to running lights and CD-AC illumination dims to about 50-60% and dash has maybe 10%?? Switch to full lights no change, so it makes daytime driving difficult when you can't read/see gauges. Night driving (lights on) is better but still not what they should be. The trip OD is never lit.

Just acquired this rig so I have no history I can rely on. Any help as to where to begin to look would be appreciated.:confused:

check the dimmer switch. the connector is behind the instrument bezel. pull out all the screws and check the connector. If it has full power and ground then put a new switch in.

Dimmer does appear to work, but will check and replace as indicated.:)
