Default LR3 - transmission and coolant mixed

So, I took my 2005 LR3 to the dealer, had alternator and brake lines replaced drove it home drove it on an errand the coolant gauge starts to go down next thing I know smoke throughout the car as I blew a hose from the radiator to the engine. Now rover is telling me that transmission fluid and coolant leakedtogether so at minimum is a new radiator and new hoses but they’re not sure even that will solve the problem. As I have driven this car for two years without an issue I’m wondering just fluids ran together in the first place
anybody ever have this happen?

I personally don’t see why you could just flush your cooling system and transmission fluid would do the same as maintenance and save you a ton of money.

This makes no sense at all. I mean if the radiator failed internally you can get them to mix, but otherwise just blowing a hose would not do anything.
