LR4 - EAS Control or Rods??

Hello,
I have owned a 2013 LR4 for just over one year. I recently put a set of Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure, 255/60/R19 tires on the stock rims. It was an improvement, however, I would like to increase the tire size next time around. I do a bit of beach driving and a thicker sidewall helps when I air down. Assuming I install 18' rims to allow for a larger tire size, a 265/65/R18 or 275/65/R18, the common recommendation is to install rods or use an EAS tool to increase the ride height. This seems well and good, however, I am concerned about what happens if the compressor fails or there are other issues that cause the vehicle to lower to the bump-stops. Will the truck still be mobile, enough to get it to the shop? Thanks for any insight on this.
