lug nuts.....
 

ok i know this has got to make me look like a fool, but i cant seem to figure out the correct size of my lug nuts nothing fits right. 1 1/16 in is too small to go on, 1 1/8 is loose, and 27 mm is too small.... i dont have a 28 but every site i have seen say 1 1/16.....does the shinny metal caps come off of the lugs..and if so how do you get them off....

Are you talking about lug nuts for a D2?
If so sounds like someone damaged your buy removing hem with the wrong size socket.
You should be able to use a 1 1/16, 6 point socket. At this point you don't have a lot of options, need to go buy some new lug nuts, Very pricey $$$$$$$ at about $20 a piece.
