Short Circuit Fuse Box

3 Attachment(s)
My heater blower was not working, so I decided to take a look behind the fuse box. What I found, was two loose cables that had short circuited. Both had been attached to a 30A fuse, which had blown.

To make a long story short, a while back, my wife called me and told me she saw smoke coming under the steering wheel, but when I got there could not smell anything. I thought it was coolant burning, but now know it was a cable short circuit. Been driving car no problems, but of course no AC, lots of heat. :p

Should I place another 30A fuse to both those cables again? what is their purpose?

Thanks. DiscoMike, you were right about it being a short circuit.

Fixed the loose wires, place a 40A fuse, a bit of electrical tape and AC is working again...
Moral of the story: check the fuse box, take it out and make sure is OK...

thanks guys for posting ur issues, from reading them I got clues of where to go and fix my landy...
