Fluid level? Fresh fluid and filter. If still a problem use some Lucas Transmission Fix, which will thicken fluid, it builds up more pressure, and restores operations - for a period of time usually almost equal to number of payroll checks to pay for transmission rebuild. If current fluid is dark, or shows dark particles on a paper towel, that would be most of the clutch disks. The Lucas does work, but you must understand that it will not grow back the clutch material. You could just put in the Lucas now, if you plan to replace or rebuild the tranny. Usually boneyards sell them pretty cheap, around me they are like $125 at the U pull da partz operations. Most Discos are in da boneyard because of overheating. I put Lucas in a slipping Mitisubishi Montero Sport at about 150K and sold vehicle at 294K, slipping had started back. It may be snake oil, but it is red, sticky, and thick; so it must come from a big healthy snake.
