sqeuking sound while accelerating.

I have a 2000 Disco series II, there is a sqeuking sound coming from somewhere in the front of the vehicle when i accelerate and it stops after about 30 mph. Belt? Wheel Bearing? Any suggestions would help.

No, I just bought the vehicle. I had it checked out before i bought it and the mechanic said everything looked good. I had a 2000 Xterra that did the same thing and they replaced a belt and it went away. Didnt know if it was any different with land rovers.

i hope its the belt, but i think you should look at the other threads
on this forum about the front drive shafts and inspect.

Don't always trust a mechanic.
Crawl under the front drive shaft, flash light in hand, if the 2 u-joints in the the double cardon, that attaches to the t/case don't have grease fittings, them start by having that rebuild or replaced before it fails.
