Default Urgent help: Rover won't shift out of low (lever not stuck)

I'm stopped on the road right now, looking for answers. Got my rover stuck in water half way up the doors. Sat there for about an hour while I waited for help. Now, even though I habe it in high... it doesn't seem like it is switching out of low. I'm also getting hill decent and TC warning lights with check engine. Ran the codes and it says serial communication or something. Any ideas? Does it just need to dry out?

Drying out will certainly be a good first step. I would try to avoid having any current going anywhere until it does (i.e. don't turn the key or try to drive it.)

Pictures...or it never happened...lol.

But, yeah...sounds like you have a bunch of wet connections. The ones on top of the transfer case can be a basta*d to get at...but take a can of WD40 and spray all of them down as best you can. Spray the living daylights out of the XYZ switch, too. Wouldn't hurt to hit ever connection you see...O2 connections, etc, etc.

If water entered the cabin, you may need to remove the trans controller, located under drivers seat...and dry it out, too.

Thanks for all the advice fellas! I'm letting her bake in the sun. I've got some electrical cleaner spray that I am just gonna start spraying on everything. I need to figure out how to seal my doors better. The water shouldn't have come in the cab!
