Warning lights?
What does it mean when the traction control, anti lock brakes and the hill descent warning lights all come on at once? If I turn the key to off and then restart it, no more warning lights.

RE: Warning lights?
You should do some reading, there are 100's of post regarding this.
Are your wheels covered with brake dust, do your brakes squeak, what brand of brake pads are you running? |
RE: Warning lights?
Thanks for the quick reply.
yes, front wheels are covered with brake dust. They do not squeak and I'm unsure of the brand. I'll check for other posts. |
RE: Warning lights?
So, what you are going to need to do is look at the front pads, see how much is left, they will need to go or you will have to pay a huge amount to have the lights cleared if they set a code.
How many miles on your truck, have you already replaced the front brakes before? |
RE: Warning lights?
ok heres what 80% of the time those lights mean and about the brakes you will only get the abs light on if you have erratic brake signal detected wich is what disco mike is describing. DII have been known to have faulty abs modulators wich land rover has come up with a couple of fixes instead of putting new units in (expensive) get the codes checked if its code 4114 shuttle valve switches erratic failure your going to have to be an updated shuttle valve switch kit wich consist of new shuttle valve switches and solenoid pack for your modulator sorry to say but its pretty pricey also like $2000 but its better than paying almost 4000 for a new module.
Best bet is to check your codes it can be as easy as a wheel speed sensor wich there is also an update wich eliminates the connector and you just add an overlay harness directly to the ecu |
