Better Sound
Any recommendations to a more aggressive sound? I cut the rear muffler off and extended the tail pipe to the rear bumper adding a tip flush to the bumper. Looks great but the sound is just a tad louder.I'm looking for a more throaty sound but not ridiculously loud in the cabin. Thought about replacing the center resonator but am not sure on brands/models. I had a Magnaflow custom exhaust on my 03' Tundra. They replaced the stock muffler with a single inlet/dual outlet muffler and extended the tailpipes simulating a dual exhaust. It was great because it was throaty on throttle but not too loud in the cabin.

RE: Better Sound
you could try to get an in intake, a cone filter usually supplies you with a bit better sound while giving you a bit more power at the expense of gas milage, a cheaper box filter or a high flow stocksize filter helps as well.

So you cut the pipe and added to it.. is it crazy loud?

RE: Better Sound
People seem to like the sound of the Borla systems. I will be adding one but also doing high-flow cats, but it will need to wait until next year since I've put entirely too much into the truck this year already. :)

RE: Better Sound
Go to a exhaust shop and have them weld in a flowmaster 40 or dynomax ultra flo muffler.

RE: Better Sound
I GOT A BORLA. SOUNDS GREAT WITHOUT THAT FORD F-350 REDICULOUS GARGLE THAT YOU SEE GUYS WITH.

RE: Better Sound
Just remember you have a large cargo area and the additional sound that will resinate thru there can get old fast.

RE: Better Sound
Get a 40 series flowmaster exhaust. Its the loudest out there I think.
