Default ‘08 LR2 help with goofy cooling system design.

My friends. The end of my rope is near. I hope there is help to be had.☺️ There is a ******, notched fitting that is welded to the engine block. One of The lower coolant hose attaches to it via a special(I’ve not seen it elsewhere) Twist/lock fitting made by Norma”Twist2”. I had to replace the couple hoses in this area of the system. I can not seem to get the connection I’m talking about to stop leaking once the vehicle warms up. I’ve watched the video on the Norma website for how to operate this fitting. I have positioned this fitting the same way the original was. I have to be close. Or would this location be repeatedly leaking due to a bad thermostat? Thanks for any advice.

If you can get a camera in there to show us which hose connection you're talking about, it would be amazing.

I just replaced all of the coolant hoses in my entire engine compartment, including the radiator and thermostat a couple of months ago, using factory replacement parts, so it's all fresh in my memory. I didn't have any leaks, so my guess is it's either damage to one of the sealing surfaces that you're experiencing, or something else near it is leaking.
