08 LR2 rubbing sound coming from rear when turning sharply or going over larger bumps

Just wondering if anyone knows what this is, it sounds almost like a loud squeegee noise like when a rubber squeegee rubs against glass too tightly, except louder and harsher. Hoping this isn't the fabled rear differential issue. Thanks.

I had what I think is a similar complaint on my 2005 LR3. A noise on turns, as if the rear brakes were sticking slightly, grinding or catching. No slapping noise, however. The LR dealer recorded a P1860 for rear clutch actuator stuck. They found no abnormal noises in the rear diff when driving on the lift. They replaced the rear differential locking actuator motor. The noise is no longer there. $1,800 total.
