Did you every find and repair the short to ground for your starter motor solenoid wire or was the new starter actually bad?

Any update?

Thanks

Hi Paul, I am pleased to say that (with this forums help) & my being a female that has no experience actually working on cars. I did successfully install the new starter correctly & It is working fine. Thank you so much for taking the time to walk me thru it.
On another note, i would like to bounce something off of you in hope of getting your input/advice on how to best address an issue that I am now having after I just paid a licensed mechanic shop to fix the fuel system issues with my lr2. Being that I do not wish to prematurely without confirming my analysis, & I'm only 90% certain I am correct, being that my late husband was license mechanic. Is it possible for you & I to conduct a more private conversation prior to my publicly posting my concerns with repairs thus far? I would just like to validate my opinion via an experienced mechanic first before posting my very recent & expensive experience.
