Engine Fault Code P2407 Evap Leak Detection Pump Sense Circuit
I had code P2407 Evap Leak Detection Pump Sense Circuit on my 2014 Land Rover LR2 recently. I read that this can happen if the gas cap is not fully seated. I've reseated the fuel cap and cleared the code. I'm hoping it doesn't reappear. Has anyone else seen this one before?

Hi, Sorry I am not familiar with your landrover but I do know a few things about evap systems. Yes a bad gasket on the cap can cause a leak. You will have to wait for the readiness system to run a test on the circuit before you will see if it is cured. The wording used on different scanners can be misleading especially some of the Matco ones where they have been translated from English by Chinese. Depending on the placement of your components, it is possible that the tank vent has become packed up with dirt and is sticking. they are sometimes up in the wheelwell by the filler neck and most often on top of the tank so they do get a fair bit of crap in them.. May I ask how you got the code and what scanner you used?
