LR2 tire pressure sensor

I searched the forum, but could not find the answer.
One pressure sensor broke, resulting in a flat tire. Local indy shop fixed the flat, but could not help with the sensor, so I have one tire with a regular valve stem, and of course monitor shows a flat since one sensor is absent. I thought I would buy a replacement TPS on ebay, rather than take a 100 mile one-way trip and pay over-price at a dealer. I found the exact replacement on ebay. Will my LR2 computer recognize one replacement and accept it, or do I need to bite the bullet and go to the dealer?

As long as it is compatible, yes, the system will learn the new sensor after about 10 miles of driving.

Can you provide a link to the sensor you found? Or a model/part number? Assuming its the same sensor my 08 lr2 uses. My lr2 has had a constant TPMS malfunction on the dash since I bought it, no matter if the tires are at proper pressure. I'm thinking I'll most likely end up having to replace one, some, or all (since I don't know which is the problem) of the sensors to fix this.

sorry I did not save the find, I decided not to buy yet, when I went back to ebay, I realized it was a 'used' tps. I would rather new, may just bite the bullet and go the the dealer and get 4 new.

Ok no worries, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find the sensors anyway.

If you take your car to a shop that sells tires, they will have a wireless receiver that they hold next to each tire and it tells them the battery condition of the TPMS sensor. This will also tell you which tire(s) have a bad sensor. You don't even have to pull your vehicle into their service bay as they can perform this quick test while your vehicle is parked anywhere. They will probably do this for you as a courtesy if you ask them for a quote to replace the bad units.
