2006 LR3 Fault code help!!!
Hello All,
I'm running out of ideas. I have a 2006 LR3 with 200K miles. Recently having random failures that are causing all the dash lights to go on...
Dash lights
The suspension lowers and I get a transmission fault as well as HDC Fault.
I've replaced the brake switch and all the tail lights are working.
I've attached a report my scan tool put out. A LOT of temporary and Intermittent codes. Only one that is Permanent.
I can clear the codes and things will be fine for a short amount of time, then all the codes come back and the suspension lowers.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

You are having issues with your CAN bus network. Possibly a chaffed wire or corrosion at a connector.
Start checking for signs of water intrusion. There are many threads about these sources (sun roof drains, cowl panel, a pillar, etc.)
Edit: brake switch is still listed as an “intermittent” code. Verify it’s installed correctly and perhaps try another from a reputable brand.

Good stuff. Thanks
Thanks for the info. Brake switch is from Land Rover. Not sure if I could have installed it wrong. I’ll need to check. I live in the desert so water may not be the issue. We are just getting finished with monsoon.

For general diagnostics, a good Land Rover specific Independent mechanic or an automotive electrician should be find be able to find the fault source expediently.
