Default Another HDC, ABS, Transmission fault

Hello All,
recently I've been getting the HDC fault, transmission limited gears, ABS, Amber Brake light intermittently and suspension lowered(but shows as standard height on screen). One time it became permanent and wouldn't go away for few days. So far i have replaced the brake light switch (BWD part from advance auto) and all the rear lights with auto store bulbs but had no luck. After reading few forums i sprayed some Electrical cleaner on the negative terminal earth and Voila, all the lights went out and suspension lifted up. after driving for few days with no faults it suddenly came back. so I went ahead removed the CJB and cleaned all the connectors and earth points but now its intermittent on the errors. I cleaned the transmission shifter connectors today but no change. Lights pop up before starting engine and stay on sometimes and lower if i drive for like 2 seconds but sometimes if i recycle key it goes away and acts normal. I have checked for sunroof leaks and haven't found any. Is there anything else I can look for? Also got a brand new battery

this morning i noticed the front suspension is a bit lower than rear when parked overnight. Can a bad valve block cause these lights to come on intermittently
Its a 2005 LR3 with 159k Miles.

thanks

I had a similar issue and ended up having to take it to a shop. They eventually replaced some wires from the center console area to steering column area. When I dig into my air bag module issue and take the center console apart I’ll see what they replaced but it will probably be a while before I have the time to look at it. As for your front valve block this probably isn’t the cause as mine has a slow leak as well and isn’t currently causing any warning lights.

oh i see. Were your lights on permanently or intermittently? I did open up the center console the other day but didnt find much dirt under there. Cleaned up anyway but no difference really. Seems like my next step is to take it to a rover mechanic.

i was hoping itll be a easy fix like a valve block😩

i just talked to my mechanic that specialize in Land rovers. they want the vehicle with the lights on. which is hard since mine is intermittent.

I read the battery voltage today.
i got 13.54 on a warm engine running for around 40sec.

when engine turned off i get 12.8v.

does these seem accurate or lower than what it needs to be?

Check the battery after sitting for an hour or 2 to get an accurate reading, you really need the codes read before you start throwing more parts at it. Is the brake switch genuine or a Ford part, i wouldn't use anything else.

i will check the battery again today and report back. So the brake switch is an aftermarket. Bought it on a Sunday when everything was closed.do you think using genuine would make a difference? I can just go to the dealership and grab one today. Its hard to read the codes since its intermittent. I have the specialist shop booked for 15th ( earliest i could get in). Im just trying to do some pre work before i take it in

The switch should be ok but i wouldn't rule it out, even being intermittent there will be stored codes.

The error came back on yesterday but nothing this morning. I let it sit over night and im getting 12.6V when off and 14.10V when idling. Does the values seem right?
