Any recommendations on brake and rotor kits for 2006 LR3 V8 for daily street driving?

Haven't done brakes on mine yet, but have researched it a few times. My plan is to get whatever good brands are the sweet spot of price and quality on R*ckauto. They have Brembo, Ferodo, Pagid, Akebono, etc. I'm intrigued by the Powerstop kits too, although don't have any experience with that brand.

I recommend Akebono Euro Ceramic pads - over 25k miles now on my LR3, still plenty left - I have not yet bought rotors
I have had good luck on my other cars using a plated/coated rotor - like those from Zimmerman
So I will be looking for similar for the LR3 (next time)

100% Doug. I have Akebono/Zimmerman on my E46 BMW and it's a great setup. Tempted to do the exact same for the LR3.

I shopped around and ended up buying from FCS Euro for our 2005 LR3. I bought a set of Akebono AKE EUR 1479 and AKE EUR 1099A front and rear pads and Zimmerman ZIM 450520320 and ZIM 450520220 rotors for our LR3. So far very happy with them. The rotors are coated and still look like brand new. Installed them about 10 months ago. Lifetime warranty on pads and rotors from FCS Euro. If you are thinking of keeping the LR3 for a while, it may be worth the extra few bucks to buy from FCS Euro (no affiliation). I found them to be very competitively priced. Phil

I went Brembo ceramic with coated rotors. So, factory pretty much. But while the rotors are great my silver painted alloys are turning gold. Not that I care since the wheels are getting tossed at some point, but Akebono will be my next set of pads.
