Default Classic Defender style grille on a LR3?

I’ve been toying with the idea of fabricating a classic defender style grille and headlights for my LR3. Understandably, this will take me some time to develop, but I wanted to put it out there to see what the community thinks of the idea and also see if anyone else has attempted this.

Since you're asking....I think there are far better things to spend time fabricating. The LR3 looks pretty darn handsome, I think, front back and all the way around. No need to mess with it or try to mash it with some other model. I tend to scoff at putting things on it like the LR4 style grill or taillights or whatever. To each their own, for sure, but by the same token I still get to snicker.

I hear you loud and clear. I’m still not completely sold on the idea, but I like my vehicles to stand out, and typically the busier I keep my hands, the less trouble I get into. If I decide to not do it, I may just have to get an old Defender instead. Then my hands will be plenty busy.

I like mine to stand out too, but I take a different approach. I try to go with a classy build. Subtle changes that are well-integrated. This usually means LR branded products (but not always) and not over-doing it. Also...I detail the **** out of my vehicles and they stand out by looking showroom even at ripe old ages.

Same, however I’ll usually tweak the typical bolt-on modifications to better suit my tastes. With such limited aftermarket support for these vehicles (it’s getting better), you mostly see everyone making their vehicles look roughly the same as someone else’s. My goal is that no one could ever mistake mine as their own.

Not sure if it's been done.

Best bet it seems is to make it all 1 piece with cutouts for the headlights and bracket in projectors and markers

Ideal would be getting it to use the slides that hold the headlights in place

There is plenty of aftermarket gear available for these, not as much as a jeep but then they don't that much junk to make them drivable.
