Default Damaged Wiring Harness With Offroad Tires

I was wondering if anyone who takes their LR3 offroad has had the same issue that I recently encountered. Over the weekend, had several HDC errors, causing the computer to lose DSC, lower the suspension, etc. Dealer says that my wide tires 285x60x18 are the culprits, due to a compressed left turn, where the wheel articulates deep into the wheel well, hitting the wire harness that connects to one of the height sensors. Just wondering if others have encountered this? If so, what tire size were you using? Dealer says he only sees this issue on vehicles that are used for real offroad use.

Jim
As you know, I have the exact same tires as you do, but have not experienced this. If it happens in the future, at least I'll know what is causing it.
Where do you go Mission Viejo or Newport LR?

Ed over at Mission Viejo found the issue. And, I was suprised to hear that he has seen and heard of this issue before.

I got that error for a second today, after coming down a pretty large incline and then into a big rut... I think I changed modes at the time, so was not sure if I initiated it somehow? I never had any failures, etc that I was aware of, but I was pretty flat when it happened... I have HSE with stock 19's, would this be a problem with offroad? I did max out the articulation going over a crest before the descent and subsequest mode change from Hill back into Mud-Rut after...

Any thoughts as I am a newbie to this vehicle?

Thanks!

I've had that problem. I have the same 285/60/18 size; I was just doing a U-turn and then had the suspension fault light come on. Took it into the dealer and they said the tires had damaged the wiring harness. They ended up re-wiring the harness up higher to keep it away from the tires, I haven't had the problem since.
