Extended warranty on LR3
The warranty on my '05 LR3 SE is going to expire soon and I am debating if I should get the extended warranty or not. I usually change cars when the warranty expires but I really like my LR3 and I've kept it in such great shape that I would like to keep it. I have had some problems that were fixed, they were not big deals for me because the car was under warranty and dealer would fix the problems and provide me a loaner. Now I am concerned that any problem I have would be expensive. The extended warranty from the dealer with $100 deductible cost:
$3213 - 3 year 36K miles extra or $2664 - 2 year 24K miles extra I was wondering what other Land Rover owners are doing. What are your thoughts on the extended warranties? Should I get it or just deal with problems when/if they happen? Thanks! |
RE: Extended warranty on LR3
If this is an extended warranty offered from a land rover dealership and make sure it is actually a land rover warranty not just some 3rd party company that the dealer is recommending. If it is an official land rover warranty then I would probably extended it.

RE: Extended warranty on LR3
I bought an extended warranty from Ford Co for 100k bumper to bumper, minus normal wear items for 2k.

Do you know if Ford still offers that? I know they sold LandRover, did you buy the warranty while Ford still owned them? Where do you take the car if you have a problem?
