Default factory brush guard

not sure if it is called a brush bar push bar light bar or whatever

the big square black rubber thing on the front of the 06 hse, I removed it and it looks like I just drill through the bumper cover and the threaded holes are in the steel bumper to bolt it up, can anyone confirm this before I drill holes in my bumper cover

Tom,

I am a newbie and just getting started on mods for my '05 LR3. So far have a Bajarack roof rack and a front runner ladder. Looking to add tires and maybe a lift of some sort, not sure if I am going hardware type rods or software?

Is there a place to get the install instruction like these for the wraparound tube brush guard? I found one on craigslist for $50 but no hardware. Niello in CA had the hard ware for $100. Part number on the guard is VUB501270.

Thanks

DW

Sorry I got no clue but if it is factory and mounts the same as mine you need the mounts, had to remove front bumper cover to add the amounts

Default Thanks Tom

I found the doc searching for fitting instructions and the part number. appreciate your link to the brush guard instructions. Still working on my Queen's English and proper terminology.

Here is the instructions I found for the wraparound brush guard:

Checked out your directions, crappy directions, but where they show bolts going straight in bumper from front, you have to be in the exact spot cause you are bolting into existing threaded holes in the steel bumper, these are the holes mine used for the mount brackets

Default Got wraparound bar on.

They are crappy directions. I used an 1.25 inch hole saw at 70 mm below the edge of the bumper and it was off just a little. Drilled the other side down 75 mm and it was perfect. The bar mount covers the oblong hole on the passenger side. If I had the 33mm hole saw it would have worked ok at 70mm. But the spacer wouldn't be centered. Hope it helps somebody in the future.

Pulling the bumper sucks. The Steel A-Bar is a much easier install. 2 holes drilled to the pre-tapped bumper, attach, tighten and go!
