Grinding Sound when Turning left
When I accelerate from being stopped if turning left while the car shifts from 1st gear to 2nd hear I am hearing a grinding sound. But I dont hear the noise when going right, or from any other gears or at higher speeds. This occurs only every now and then. I have a 05 LR3 with about 71K, all OEM parts no accidents. Does anyone know what this might be?

wheel bearing or steering stops

Did you ever find out what your problem was? I am having almost the exact same symptom.

These issues are commonly associated with;
Left front wheel bearning shot You need to buy the hub bearings are not sold separately. Lower Ball Joints. Differential - front, rear or both, rear is more common. You may have also noticed, a dull roar building easily mistaken for tire noise that builds over the years. Parts are not available at LR or anywhere else. You can PM me for parts, and get an Indy shop to do the install. |
Mine Just started
Hey guys. Mine just started doing this as wel. Only when I turn left.
I have had both hub assemblies changed up front. Still doing it. Any suggestions? |
I had a screech/sequel from the front left a while back only when turning the wheel. It ended up being a seized caliper.

im going to have to say it is the ABS being triggered by the anti roll over system. I would try to recreate it with the DCS OFF, and on to see if its the issue.

The triangle indicated traction control is operating. As mentioned this can be from worn suspension but typically a bad wheel bearing. Also the wrong sized (mismatched) tires can easily cause it or even a bad alignment.
