I bought my '06 LR3 with the OME conversion already installed. I love it. rides great, highway as well off road. The PO had put on 285/65/19's while I do plan on reducing those a tad, I would not trade the coil conversion. I have run D2s with air, I have been with friends that have LR3. and LR4. with air. and while there are subtle differences to the handling. I see no cause for all the back and forth on this thread. Its my damned truck, its not anyone elses. The options are there for a reason. If someone wishes to change over, so be it. let them. I have not been an active poster for awhile, and part of that is this very thing. Some on this site like to claim king of the hill. Instead of simply replying with suggestions, advice from direct experience, or constructive views on pros and cons when asked. Telling someone that letting their child have this truck as stupid is the what is really stupid. Of course their may be better choices... for you. Hell in truth, none of us should own these vehicles, just look at all the issues everyone is posting and looking for help with, yet here we all are, doing what we love, problem solving being the weekend warrior mechanic, and getting out in our trucks to enjoy what they can do as well as what their capacities afford us to get to. So how about you all lay off the I'm better **** and your stupid, and help each other solve the problems, congratualte teh person for finding and fixing the issue, and simply appreciate the willingness of the one another to post what they do. If you don't care for it read something else..

I’m with TDW. I also went the coil conversion and I couldn’t be happier. If any of you don’t like that idea then fine. But, don’t bash anybody that doesn’t agree with your views. It’s our car not yours. And to be honest I like the ride even better than with the air..

arguement was still 3 years ago

I have both in my driveway coil and air. The air rides better overall and tows better. I prefer the coil for the no worries of failure on off road runs far from home

I usually stick my finger up there then smell it! I feel like putting my head in there would hurt.

I have my opinion and am not afraid to share it. One has to read the thread start to finish with scrutiny and have knowledge of some of the posters involved to really grasp the dynamics of it.

It's okay though...I ain't mad atchya...

houm, still making friends I see...

For anyone else researching this. @ 160k miles, coils handle the same as day one of my install. Same goes for front bushings.
